GOAT Tuner Instructions for Polaris

Connecting the GOAT Tuner to Wi-Fi

If the Wi-Fi bars at the top of the screen are yellow go under Wi-Fi and click forget. This will forget any Wifi that the device has been connected too in the past
Select connect and choose your Wi-Fi network and type in your password
Sometimes after the password has been entered the power needs to be disconnected then reconnected for the Wi-Fi to connect
Once the Wi-Fi bars at the top of the screen are green click tuner update at the bottom of the menu to update the tunes on the device to the latest versions

2022 Polaris Boost

The 2022 Polaris snowmobiles that have the recalls done have been updated to a 2023 tune via your dealer. If the dealer has not done the updates yet the GOAT Tuner can do the update (Please contact Whiskey Throttle with your tuner serial number to get this file added)
A Wastegate relearn and Exhaust Valve relearn needs to be done when updating the software year (Instructions are below)

2023 Polaris Boost

The 2023 boost needs to be updated to the 2024 tuning via the GOAT Tuner (Please contact Whiskey Throttle with your tuner serial number to have the MY23-MY24 file added to your tuner)
A Wastegate relearn and Exhaust Valve relearn needs to be done when updating the software year (Instructions are below)

2024 Polaris Boost and Sleds Updated to 2024
No Wastegate or Exhaust Valve relearns are required for the 2024 model snowmobiles

Wastegate Relearn and Exhaust Valve Relearn

Disconnect the battery from the GOAT Tuner and be sure the alligator clips are in a safe location where they do not touch anything or eachother. If the alligator clips have been removed be sure the terminal on the connection doesn’t touch metal as the exposed post on the connection is the positive power and if it touches a ground it will pop the ECU fuse
Start the sled and warm it up to 100F coolant temp.
The GOAT Tuner will power up from the diagnostic port
On the main screen click “Diagnostics” then “Polaris Snow” you will see the two options for the WG Relearn and the EV Relearn. Select WG Relearn and the snowmobile will perform the relearn
Next select the EV Relearn on the same menu. The snowmobile will perform the Wastegate Relearn and is now ready for the tune to be flashed in

Flashing in the tune files

Select “Download” then “Polaris Snow”
You will have three options Stage 1, Stage 2, and Stage 3
You many also have the MY22 – MY23 or MY23 – MY24 depending on the year of the snowmobile
2024 model year sleds and sleds updated to the 2024 year now have the 7S display unlocked
